Art Legends – The First Decade of the New Millennium

The first decade of the new millennium saw the emergence of conceptual work and sensitive photo-portraits of working-class women in Third World countries. The works in this exhibition take nothing at face value and are in tune with their role as visionaries. As such, they have become role models for today’s artists and students. Here are a few of the most significant artists in the history of art. Read on for more information.

Origin

There have been many books and articles on the origin of art, including the ‘Venus’ figurines found in caves in Europe. One long-held theory is that human brains underwent rapid evolutionary change during the Upper Palaeolithic Revolution, also known as the Transition. This theory is based on the idea that humans evolved from apes to have the ability to create art. However, there is no definitive answer to the question, largely due to the nature of the material evidence.

Styles

While we are all familiar with certain styles of art, not everyone is aware of the origin of these styles. Several of the styles have become popular over the centuries artlegends. Expressionist art portrays the horrors of everyday life, while fauvism creates idealized compositions. Some artists even have a legend associated with their work. Influences

Emerging stars

With a burgeoning pool of talented young artists on the rise, the art world seems to be turning away from the youth as the market for facile works from rising talents is skyrocketing. Luckily, collectors searching for artists with greater substance are increasingly turning to the 80+ generation. During the 1960s and 1970s, many game-changing artists emerged. These artists embraced identity politics, feminist movements, and racial and gender identities to redefine the art world. They remade every form of art and even used their own bodies to experiment. They also gave rise to performance artists, video artists, and digital art.
